SIGNALCHAT SAFETY
Your Camera. Your Call.
Live video chat should feel spontaneous, not risky. You hold the controls in every conversation — this page walks through them, plus a few habits that keep things fun.
Adults only, always
SignalChat is strictly for people aged 18 and over. There is no version of the service for minors, and accounts that break this rule aren't welcome. If you're under 18, this isn't the place for you — no exceptions.
Leave whenever you want
This is the most important control, and it's always on: you can end any conversation at any moment, for any reason, without explaining yourself. A match that feels off doesn't need a second chance. Say a quick goodbye if you like — or don't — and move on. Leaving is instant and it's final.
Keep the personal stuff personal
A good conversation doesn't need your details. A few habits worth keeping:
- Skip sharing your full name, address, workplace or financial details.
- Never send passwords, verification codes or payment information — no real connection will ask for them.
- Be careful with anything visible on camera that identifies you, like mail, documents or a street view.
- If someone pushes you to move to another platform fast or send money, that's a reason to leave, not to comply.
Respect runs both ways
Everyone you meet on camera is a real person who showed up for the same reason you did. Treat them like it. Flirty is fine; pressure isn't. If someone isn't interested, let it go — and expect the same courtesy back. Conversations are better on both sides when nobody's performing under pressure.
Report and block when someone crosses a line
If someone behaves in a way that's abusive, harassing or breaks the rules, you don't have to just leave — you can report and block them inside the experience. Reporting flags the behavior for review; blocking keeps that person away from you. Use both freely. They're there for exactly these moments, and using them makes the next person's night better too.
A note on trust
We'd rather be plain than impressive: no platform can guarantee the behavior of the person on the other side of a camera. What we can do is put real controls in your hands — leave anytime, report, block — and keep the service adults-only. What you can do is trust your instincts. If a conversation feels wrong, it probably is. End it.
Questions about the rules themselves? The Community Guidelines spell out what's expected, and the About page explains what a signal is before you catch one.
Comfortable? Good. Someone's live.
Browse who's on camera, or catch the next signal — you're in control either way.
